They might not be on the best of terms right now, or even on speaking terms for that matter, but that’s not going to stop Christina Aguilera from having Britney Spears’ back, no matter what. During an appearance on The Enrique Santos Show, Chirstinas was asked if she had reached out to Britney following the end of her nearly 14-year long conservatorship. Here’s what she has to say.
While Christina didn’t really answer whether or not she had spoken to Britney in recent weeks, she did admit that she has to be very careful about what she says when it comes to her fellow chart topper. Christina explained, “I never want to speak out of turn about somebody that I have so much respect and admiration for.”

“I couldn’t be happier for her, every woman deserves to feel empowered and to own that for themselves, however they see fit,” she continued. Christina also pointed out that the two of them have similar background.
“And yes, growing up in this business can be freakin’ crazy,” she shared. “You know, if anybody gets that and understands what that means at that time coming up, it definitely would be her and I. I will always be here to reach out to. I love, you know, being able to connect like that with other women … it’s very important, now more than ever, now that we do have the ability to connect, that that happens, and that we always feel unified.”
Back in November, Britney made it clear that she had no love for Christina Aguilera simply because she refused to say anything about her conservatorship. Brit Brit said that Christina’s refusal to speak is the equivalent to lying, if that makes sense. Here’s what you need to know.
“I love and adore everyone who supported me … but refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie!!!” Spears wrote over a clip of Aguilera being interviewed at Thursday’s Latin Grammy Awards. “13 years being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is such a hard topic for people to talk about???”
Britney continued, “I’m the one who went through it!!! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me thank you … Yes I do matter!”
