Chrissy Teigen has revealed how she has been trying to improve herself in the aftermath of her bullying scandal.

Chrissy, for her part, was called out for her social media activity in which her private messages suggested that she had been bullying other celebrities. One primary example of this was her interactions with Courtney Stodden.

The latter claimed that she had received a message stating that she should consider killing herself. In response to the blowback, Chrissy decided to do a period of introspection in the hope that she could be a better person.

In an interview with People magazine, she said: “I think about how much I’ve changed just in the past year, how much I’ve grown and learned, and then to think of that in the term of a lifetime, how much room there is to always know more and be better.

And yet, for all of the difficulties that she went through, Chrissy did not regret these very harsh moments. As a consequence of her actions, she lost several brand deals which had threatened to derail her career for good.

But in that moment of hardship, she realised that she could turn her life around. She added: “I’m glad it happened,’ but truly it made me a stronger person. A better person.

“That’s when I went sober. I went clean — I’m actually 100 days sober today, and I’m, like, so excited, yeah. I feel so good. I feel clearheaded.”

In this way, Chrissy is hoping that she can set a good example for her children. After all, being in the public eye is not easy in the first place—never mind when your parent has been accused of mass bullying.

But by doing this, Chrissy wants to install these values of compassion and kindness, which she hopes her children will follow. She continued: “I look at my kids, and I look at what I want their value to be and how I want them to treat people.”

Chrissy does have remorse for what she has done, but it will take a while before the public gets back on her side. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
