CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers love nothing better than a good family drama to keep us entertained, and there’s plenty of that in our throwback spoilers.

Coming to us from April 2, 2004, this episode if going to be extremely fun as we get to experience Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) learning he’s Abby Newman (Darcy Rose Byrnes) father.

Given how active Victor is/was, it’s a wonder there aren’t more little Newmans running around, but that could be a plot point for the future if the showrunners decided he needs more children to help the current brood.

Sometimes love refuses to be ignored. So, like any rational person, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) had some of Victor’s sperm stolen and artificially inseminated herself. Yep, totally understandable and reasonable.

Now that ‘Young and the Restless’ have gotten the sarcasm out of our system, this has got to be one of the weirder ways to go about this, but then it’s a vast landscape, so there are options out there.

What’s curious about this is Ashley says it’s something she had to do for her mental health. Um… okay, we’ll take her word for it.

Though we’re curious how Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) convinced her to allow her to tell Victor. There’s obviously a spin in there somewhere. But will Nikki get the chance?

Is there anything worse than finding out a secret from a sideways source? We mean, someone that’s not supposed to be in the know?

Well, as luck would have it, Victor picks the perfect time to stop by the restaurant and offers to spend time with Abby while Colleen Carlton (Lyndsy Fonseca) took a phone call.

Yep, this is where things are going to start getting really interesting in the Newman household.

During a conversation where Victor bonded with young Abby, she told him she saw her mother on TV saying she was his daughter.

While it’s safe to say Victor was shocked, just imagine his upcoming meeting with Ashley, and then Nikki when/if he finds out she was going to tell him.

It’s times like this that ‘Young and the Restless’ really wish an entire story arc would be aired, but that’s asking for a bit much apparently. With any luck, they’ll put the year up for streaming.
