CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers indicate that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is going to go through with getting a paternity test for her baby. The baby could in fact be Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) or it could be his brother Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman). How will this impact the couple?
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nick and Sally
Nick is pledging to be there for Sally, no matter what the outcome is. She feels a little uncertain about their future and seems to want more from him in regard to their relationship, but he’s not ready to dive into marriage or even some kind of serious commitment. The commitment he is making to her is that he will be there for her through all of it.
He genuinely cares about her, but there seems to be some reticence on his part. Is this because it is a rebound relationship for her? Is he uncertain of his commitment to a relationship with her because she just came out of a relationship with his brother? It’s hard to tell. But, when Sally honestly tells him that it is possible that Adam is the father, he doesn’t get angry or take off.
He says he had already figured out that was a possibility because of her due date. It didn’t make him run though. He says he is still staying put for Sally. He will be there for her and for her pregnancy. The question is, if she finds out that he is not the father, will it change things for him?
Will he feel that he wants out of the relationship because of how entangled Sally will inevitably be with Adam? Or will Nick continue to be a stand-up guy and be there for Sally even if the baby is not his?
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Adam and Sally
Adam knows something is up. He asked Sally about it, and she said she was concerned about her company’s launch. He knows it is more than that. When he asks Nick for more details, Nick avoids the question. He says that it must be uncomfortable for Sally to be with both of them at once. He does not tell Adam to ask Sally himself.
Instead of encouraging a confrontation, he stays out of it. He has told Sally it would be better to come clean to Adam. He says that telling Adam would not be for Adam’s benefit, but just for Sally’s, so she does not have to carry the burden of keeping it a secret.
Nick doesn’t push Sally to come clean with his brother. The question is, when Adam finds out, will he leave Sally alone? Will he try to be a part of her life again? What will her expectations be if he is the father of the baby and not Nick?
