Even though Victor would prefer that he runs the company while his daughter heals, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) won’t allow that. She has made him promise that he is entering retirement full-swing and Newman is no longer his problem! With Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) refusing to run the company, there is little hope to find a reputable stand-in. Everyone else is either unqualified, employed elsewhere or out of the country. This leaves to one last viable option standing: Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Obviously, Adam stepping in isn’t ideal. After all, he doesn’t have favourable reputation or an overly healthy relationship with his family. However, this may be the only choice for the company right now. However, fans are confused as Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), is coming back to Genoa City in light of her mother’s illness. Ashley is well-known for being business-savvy – maybe Victor is thinking she will be a better fit as Victoria is healing? Victor calls Adam and requests he meets him at the ranch for a discussion. Does this mean Newman will be offered up to Adam? Who do you think is going to take over Newman until Victoria is in better health? If Victor doesn’t offer the position to Adam, will that cause more waves within the Newman family?
