CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that last week, we received the news that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had given in to Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) blackmailing. In result, Victor handed over Newman Enterprises to Adam, leaving Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) out of work. Adam has been holding the “proof” that he has that Victor had loan shark, AJ Montalvo killed. As Y&R fans learned that Victor was handing over the company, we could assume that there was probably an ulterior motive to his actions. However, it looks like he fooled Adam.
Adam is at the penthouse with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). They are discussing that Victor handed the company over. The two are convinced that Victor’s surrender must mean that he was, in fact, guilty. Chelsea chimes in saying that there is no way Victor would have hadn’t the company over if he wasn’t guilty of murder. Adam is defending his scheming and betrayal by saying that he basically just did what Victor would have done. His father, of course, would have gone after Adam with the truth if the roles were reversed.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Recap: Victor Has Fooled Adam
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) admits to Chelsea that he is having a difficult time with the newest developments in his family. He’s in shock. Chelsea notes that the Newman clan will likely judge Adam for being greedy and money hungry. (No, really?) However, Chelsea sees more than him in that! As the episode progresses, Adam begins to open up about how he feels like a hypocrite. He feels that he understands Victor more than anybody else in the family (Obviously not, seeing as Victor is likely outsmarting him right now and Adam has no idea).
In conclusion, it looks like Newman Enterprises are in the conniving hands of Adam Newman – at least for now! We can assume that Victor has more cards to play, but so far, he is playing them well for Adam to be thinking he had Victor cornered. What do you think is going to happen?
