CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that producers have taken this global pandemic as the opportunity to replay several Halloween costume parties and wedding nuptials. As we move into the first week of June, we can expect no change in that. On Monday, June 1, Y&R viewers are getting a beautiful classic wedding episode from Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) marrying the ever-handsome Brad Carlton (Don Diamond). However, in true Y&R fashion, their special day couldn’t go by without its fair share of drama.
The original wedding episode aired January 11, 1991. Imagine this: You’re putting on your wedding dress, you’re getting ready to marry the man of your dreams, and he is still in love with your beautiful, blond sister. Only in Genoa City – at least, we hope. Traci is thrilled to be remarrying Brad when she finds him in a warm, intimate embrace with Ashley Abbott (Brenda Epperson). Ashley seems to have no secret agenda, as she’s telling Brad how much her sister loves him. However, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) is quickly thrown into a tailspin and the entire day is up in the air.

While the wedding lacks bliss, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is fuming that Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) is back in town. Despite the fact that clearly Dina is attending her daughter’s wedding, Jill thinks that Dina wants to split up Jill and John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) marriage. Not so crazy, after all. It turns out that Dina still has the hots for her ex hubby, because she does intend to split them up, and who better to help her than Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper).
Nothing screams a wedding in Genoa City like scheming, people! Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is an alcoholic who is fighting her liquor cravings and being belittled by her husband, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for it. He’s blaming her ex-husband, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for her alcoholism. What was your favourite part of today’s episode?
