CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers indicates that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is not going to just accept Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

When Summer heard from Sally that she is pregnant with Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) child, she was livid. She accused Sally of being selfish and using her father. She believes that Sally is just using Nick to protect her from Adam. She feels that since Sally has a baby on the way with Adam, that she should cut Nick loose.
He should be free to look for love in a less complicated situation. Since Adam and Sally are having a baby, it will inevitably bring them closer together and that is not fair to Nick. In Summer’s mind, Sally has brought her chaos into Nick’s life, and he shouldn’t have that stress.
When Nick hears that Summer went off on Sally, he has a talk with her explaining that this is his decision. He doesn’t need her to gate-keep for him. Her husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) also encourages her to think the best of Sally. Kyle thinks that Sally must be stressed and scared. She is going to be a single mother for the first time. She also is in the middle of a relationship between two brothers. Kyle encourages Summer to more empathetic.

While Summer hears all of this advice to “butt out”, she just can’t take it. She thinks that Sally and Adam belong together. They are having a baby together and she thinks that Sally needs to break up with her father. She thinks that Sally and Adam are well suited and should recognize that they should be together for the good of their child.
She is going to do whatever she can to help encourage this. She apologizes to Sally for her outburst and Sally accepts but feels uncertain about Summer’s motives. She should feel uncertain about Summer’s authenticity because Summer definitely has motives. She shares her honest opinion that she thinks Sally and Adam belong together.
