CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that while Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) have had their fair share of issues in the past, this mother and daughter duo certainly are the same in many different ways. As a matter of fact, both seem to be making the same exact mistake with their exes. With Summer rebounding with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Phyllis looking to reignite things again with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), you’d think that they would have learned from their mistakes, but, alas, no. Even though Kyle did Summer dirty by dumping her to be with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) again, it didn’t take long for the two of them to realize that they can’t get enough of each other. They might not get along at times and their relationship certainly doesn’t look good on paper, but there’s no denying that they have chemistry. But it looks like even all of that incredible passion between the sheets wasn’t enough to make Kyle and Summer’s relationship work because they fizzled out even faster than they did the first time around.

With Phyllis Summers, it’s no different. She has been aggressively pursuing her ex, Nick Newman. And while the two of them have always maintained a good working relationship and have a mutual respect for one another, it seems as though Phyllis might have a secret motive behind this new romance. And Nick being Nick, he might not realize that he is being used. But that doesn’t mean he’s not enjoying the ride.
