CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that star Melissa Ordway has a lot of reasons to be thankful this Valentine’s Day. Not only is she married to the love of her life, ‘Days of Our Lives’ alum Justin Gaston (ex Ben Weston), but the couple also share two beautiful daughters, Olivia and Sophia, together. As a matter of fact, Melissa, who is best known for her role as Abby Newman on the hit CBS soap, says that she and Justin celebrate Valentine’s day for a very important reason. Here’s what she has to say.
“Valentine’s Day gives you an opportunity to celebrate each other as a couple!” the actress said to Soaps In Depth. “We don’t [often] take time for ourselves, because we are always busy with work and the girls, and we kind of forget, ‘Oh yeah, we need to take time for ourselves and just be together!’ Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse for a date night [to] just sit down to dinner, have an adult conversation and reconnect!”

What’s more, Melissa also says that she hopes that her two daughters will find a man as wonderful as she has in her life. In fact, she hopes that they are lucky enough to fall in love with someone who is just like their dad!
“I want them to find somebody exactly like their dad,” she continued in the same interview. “I don’t want them to settle for anything less than the best — and that is what Justin is! You always want your kids to do better than what you have in your life, but I think I’ve done pretty well for myself! I don’t want to say there is anyone better than Justin, but I just want them to find their perfect match.”
