CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers indicate that things may be awkward for some time for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). While they make a good team at Newman Enterprises, they may have crossed a boundary that they should not have crossed.

The ambitious and driven Victoria Newman is head of Newman Enterprises. She has unconventional ideas in mind which are reminiscent of her father. She wants Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) to choose Newman to back his new gaming platform.
While that is ambitious because of the contract Daniel has with Chancellor-Winters, Victoria has her sights on more. She also wants to take Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) company from him. Apparently, Tucker’s business is in trouble and Victor and his daughter have been conspiring about how to make it their own.

Victoria knows that there is one other person on her staff who is as ambitious as she is. She decides to challenge him to brainstorm with her and “think outside the box” together. She trusts Nate to see things in the same way and wants him to share in her visions for the company.
Over a 25 year old bottle of single malt scotch whiskey, they begin to talk about their plans for Newman. She realizes that with such unorthodox targets she will need Nate’s ideas and his help. Victoria shares her ambitious plans and they both cautiously agree that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) could be an inside line on Tucker’s plans.
Nate is excited by these ideas and shares that people often criticize his ambition. They don’t like this side of him. Victoria reassures him, noting that is critics just don’t know what it takes to run a successful company. Then sparks fly when she moves in for a passionate kiss.
While the moment ends in awkwardness, one has to wonder if this is a sign of something to come. Will a relationship between Nate and Victoria develop as their ambition takes control or was this just a lapse caused by the drinks they shared? What do you think? Share your comments below!
