‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Lily Winters’s (Christel Khalil) ex-husband Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) return to the picture means that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may face some competition for her affections.
Billy and Lily would like to believe that their relationship is going well, but do they really? What will Daniel’s return mean for their connection? Now that Billy has stopped making podcasts, something he was passionate about and truly loved doing, there will undoubtedly be issues. Billy made a sacrifice to focus more of his time on the COO role, and at some point, he’s going to be upset with Lily for it. Billy has understandably been worried about the escalating conflict at Chancellor-Winters and also feels out of place there.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) Reconnects With Lily Winters (Christel Khalil)?
It just feels like Billy and Lily are out of sync, even though they aren’t ready to admit it yet. Another crucial detail to bear in mind is the kiss Chelsea Newman gave Billy (Melissa Claire Egan). Billy only wanted Lily to realize it wasn’t important and move on; however, how would Billy feel if that weren’t the case?
Lily and Daniel once engaged in a very passionate, illegitimate romance. These two young lovers were unable to part ways, so they ultimately eloped. At the very least, Billy might be alarmed that Daniel and Lily are experiencing the recognizable flying sparks.
Even better would be if Daniel returned and planted a kiss! Daniel and Lily may rekindle their romance if Michael Graziadei hangs around for a while. However, even a brief return trip could endanger Lily and Billy‘s relationship. Billy should probably keep one eye open while sleeping. He has been getting away with quite a bit, so if Lily exhibits any “weakness” and spots Daniel, things could become very tense very quickly. Of course, we’re overlooking one possibility: what if Daniel loses interest? Daniel might be content in Georgia and not care about Lily at all, for all we know. Although I find this to be highly unlikely, it is still something to consider.
