CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers have seen some interesting and outright dumb things at times, but the lack of security at Newman events like the gala continues to reach new heights.
While it’s easy to write off the fact they allowed Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to walk in since they at least looked like they belonged there, but someone wearing a tattered heavy jacket like Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes)? We all know what happened after that, and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is just now getting over.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: An Impressive Display Of Idiocy
As many of us probably already know, three out of the daytime soaps are switching to four days of new programming to extend their seasons as much as they can while the coronavirus lockdown is in place. With this being the first week of it, we were treated to a classic ‘Young and the Restless’ episode. As luck would have it, we got to see some exemplary ineptitude of Newman security precautions going all the way back to 1984, at least. While watching Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)’s first wedding was very cool and ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers hope they continue showing these older classics for all their shows.

But getting back on track, while Victor had planned the most lavish of weddings for him and Nikki, a former one nightstand for a married Victor, Eve Howard (Margaret Mason) managed to escape from the institution she was sent to by swapping places with her roommate and then donning the clothes of a knocked out caterer so she could sneak into the celebration.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Comedy Of Errors
While Eve’s repeated attempts to kill Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) resembled some classic cartoons, the fact she got into the celebration despite Victor’s security looking for her (we assume they knew what she looked like). What’s worse, she actually asked Victor and the man he entrusted with his safety if they wanted champagne. No, seriously. She walked right up to them, stood in the middle of them but to the side while they discussed her, and offered to serve them. They declined, the security head probably to keep from dulling his wits any more than they were. Maybe he should’ve taken a couple of flutes to give Victor a chance to stare at her. Not like the dude couldn’t have done any worse.
‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers feel it’s pretty clear why something always happens as a Newman gathering. Despite building a powerful empire, Victor hires grade f caliber security people. Seriously, it’s a miracle the man isn’t dead from gross incompetence yet. But then, that could be a future storyline. Gotta bring up the next generation to take over full time, right? Let us know your thoughts on today’s episode and if you like seeing these classics. Even if our shows are slowing down, ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers aren’t, so check back for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculations around.
