CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here as we’re set to get started on another theme week. So far, we’ve been treated to a “Katherine the Great” and a “Lifetime of Love,” so it’s only natural that we go in the other direction with a “Rivals” theme. As great as the previous two weeks were, this could be the awesomest of them all. We’ll get to see Genoa City’s finest and not-so-finest going after one another in ways the ancient Romans would be proud of. With that, let’s get to some of the goodies laying around the battlefield from June 30, 1998.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, May 11: Diane antagonizes Nikki

Of course, the first episode would be involving Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s love life and it coming back to bite him and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Following Nikki’s recovery from near death, Diane Jenkins (Alex Donnelley) decided it was best to torment Nikki about her not really being married to Victor, regularly saying Nikki couldn’t use the Newman name since it didn’t belong to her anymore. Nikki being Nikki, didn’t take it laying down and fired back a few of her own shots, but when Dianne told her to ask Victor, the tables turned. Diane may have won this round, but how long will her victory dance last?

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, May 11: Jill’s digging

What would a rivalry week be without Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper)? In this instance, ‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers would be surprised if they’re not the focus of every episode this week. Sure, it may be tough with so many great moments previously, but would anyone really complain?

Jill may be many things, but she’s smart enough to wait until Kat is out of the house before she starts digging for proof that everything that was left to Kat is really hers. This will, of course, lead to a fun altercation between the two that could be the highlight of the episode even if it’s just a couple of minutes.

The chemistry between these actresses was off the charts and it made each of their interactions even more intense and believable. ‘Young and the Restless” Spoilers feel confident in saying it’d be surprising it fans didn’t think they really hated each other. This, in our opinion, is what makes this show so much better than anything else out there. The characters are so real they draw us in whether we want to go or not, and that’s when the real fun begins.

When it comes to conflicts, few could match Victor or Katherine head to head, but who’s your favorite confrontation alpha? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
