CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) posted a touching tribute to Dame Diana Rigg, who she claims was one of the most badass female actors. Rigg was one of Stafford’s acting idols and with her passing, Stafford shared her love and respect for the actress.
Check out Stafford’s Instagram post below that she shared with the following caption,
“One of the first of the bad ass female actors! If you have a chance you should watch Dame Diana Rigg in the #TheAvengers She is one of my ACTING IDOLS and she passed today ? When I was younger I used to watch The Avengers with my dad before we went to church… kinda weird juxtaposition… but none the less, I wanted to be her. She was AMAZING!! The cool thing is that a whole new generation has been introduced to her in #gameofthrones as Olenna. ❤️ RIP QUEEN”

For the newer generation, they probably recognized Rigg from ‘Game of Thrones’, but she was a star long before. This was a nice tribute from Stafford and it may make you want to go back and rewatch some old episodes of ‘The Avengers’, not the terrible remake with Uma Thurman, and no, not the Marvel blockbuster. ‘The Avengers’ television show is a secret-agent thriller that almost bests James Bond. If you’ve never seen it, you should definitely give it a watch!
Dame Diana Rigg passed yesterday, September 10. She was 82 years old.
