CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers note that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is in trouble. His work for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) at Jabot has come to light. This is putting him in some hot water with his family.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor’s Scheme
Victor wants to bring his son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) back to Newman Enterprises. While the relationship with his son has been challenging at best, Victor believes that Adam’s place is back with the family. Adam has been working at Jabot for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). While no one at Jabot really welcomes Newman, Jack has taken a chance on him. He believed that Adam would be an asset to the company.
Victor schemed to collect information on Adam’s performance, and asked Kyle for help. Kyle balked at first at being asked to join in the family intrigue, but he also doesn’t feel that Adam belongs at Jabot and is eager to see him out. He told his wife Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) that he will not join her grandfather in this plan to get Adam out of Jabot, but he does it anyway.

Summer catches Kyle looking at Adam’s personnel file which he plans to hand to Victor. When she asks him about it, he lies, saying that he is just looking at some financial reports. Several times Summer mentions how glad she is that Kyle is not helping her grandfather, and Kyle just doesn’t respond. He manages to keep his actions secret. Jack hears a rumor that Kyle is helping Victor.
He confronts Kyle about it but incredibly Kyle dodges the question. Instead, he manages to throw shade on Adam’s performance, telling Jack that Adam shouldn’t be at the company. Kyle never directly responds about whether or not he has been involved with Jack’s nemesis. While it seems like he will keep getting away with this, Adam finally confronts Kyle in front of Summer. She finally knows that he has been lying to her and Kyle is on the hot seat.
What will the fall-out be for Kyle? How will Summer manage to deal with his deceit? While the couple has weathered their warring mothers, they may not be able to make it through dishonesty.
