CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers finds that as we are still being replayed old school episodes of the show fans are brought back to 2009, where Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) marries the love of her life. This 2009 flashback doesn’t lack any rivalry, though, as we are met with wedding bells and sweet memories of one of our favourite Y&R veterans.

Katherine is set to marry her love, Murphy, played by Michael Fairman. He is a new character to the team at Genoa City, but he has made a positive impact on the small town. Over the past week, we have been reminded of some of Katherine’s most memorable moments – both good and bad, and as Friday wrapped up, it was a lovely note to see her with Murphy. After being tied up by Nina, Katherine’s daughter, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) nearly misses the wedding. Luckily, her son, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), is there to calm Jill down before Katherine makes her way down the aisle.

Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Amber (Adrienne Frantz), who has long since left the drama, have proved Kay’s true identity. This has resulted in trouble for the pair and their digging. Now, Michael and Katherine are looking to bail them out of the tricky situation that they’ve found themselves in. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is shocked and angered when late Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) tells him that he will begin to work for Chancellor Enterprises.

Despite the onslaught of drama, it was a lovely wedding, and a fantastic way to end off our week of reruns of everyone’s favourite Y&R veteran, Katherine Chancellor. What was your favourite episode from the past week? With filming still being halted for Y&R cast, we can likely expect a few more weeks of recaps from the daytime drama. Hopefully, this means more exciting reruns and flashback – it has been an excellent opportunity to get visits from old cast members and missed Genoa City residents.
