CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers tell us he might be a huge primetime television star now thanks to his popularity on the NBC dramedy ‘This Is Us’, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten about his daytime roots. In fact, Justin Hartley made the effort to stop by the CBS studios to honor his former ‘The Young and the Restless’ co-star Eric Braeden for his 40th-anniversary celebrations. Here’s what you need to know!

Justin, who was best known for his role as Adam Newman, left the soap world back in 2014. And while he has certainly managed to become a household name thanks to ‘This is Us’, he hasn’t forgotten all of the people who have helped him get to where he is now. And one of those people just happens to be his former television father, Eric Braeden. The entire cast and crew have been celebrating Eric’s career by throwing a star-studded party. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Justin had this to say, “I got to work with this gentleman and it was the honor of my life.”

Eric Braeden, meanwhile, says that when it comes to his long 40-year career on ‘The Young and the Restless’, who wouldn’t change a thing. The actor also told the publication, “This show changed my life and gave me the best role you could possibly want. I came on to be the biggest assh**e there ever was for three months and then I was going to leave. But this character changed my career. It’s a wonderful part.” With that said, there aren’t many people who would disagree with Eric! Congratulations to the legendary actor and of course, we are hoping to see him on the canvas for many more years to come!
