CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jared (Michael Maclane), the young man we met during the ice storm with the cut is now in jail. Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) came to tell Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) the news at The Grand Phoenix. Why are we hearing so much about this young new character and what will it add to the storylines we currently have?

What we know about Jared is pretty limited. He is eighteen, grew up in foster care and was living with his grandfather when we first met him. Nate, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) took him in during the storm and helped him with his wound. He didn’t say much but returned the next day for a shot. This seemed like a one and done character who was there to help with the new medical clinic story, now though, he’s taken on a story of his own.

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Jared Lands In Jail – Why Is This Important?

Is Jared related to someone we already know or was his grandfather? There has to be something more here that we don’t know, right? Is there a chance that his grandfather had known Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) or Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)? If he’s just a new character with no affiliations, right on! Although that seldom happens.

Now we know that Jared is in jail. Is it because he was out on his own and tried stealing some food to eat or is there a bigger reason? When we first met Jared, I thought his story seemed a little flimsy. Perhaps he was the one robbing the place and someone cut his arm as opposed to him protecting his grandfather’s store and falling on a security gate. What do you think? Is Jared a criminal or is he a good kid? Let us know in the comments below.
