Chancellor-Winters, a merged company controlled by Jill Abbott (Brenda Dickson), Devon Hamilton and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), was just getting ready to go public when Devon discovered treachery. Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was hired by Jill to prepare the IPO for the company. Unfortunately, Devon discovered that Audra was secretly updating Tucker McCall (William Russ) on the timeline for the public offering. Being armed with this information could have put Tucker in the position to gain a controlling share of the company. Devon confronted Audra and Lily fired her.
While Audra was helping Tucker, who else could have also been looking for this kind of early information? Sources suggest that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) could also have his sights on Chancellor-Winters so that he could take it over for his son, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Chancellor-Winters is an exciting opportunity that everyone is interested in!

Devon informed Jill and Lily that he wants to dissolve the merger. He blames himself for not recognizing Audra’s intention but also states that he never supported going public in the first place. He wants Hamilton-Winters to return to being the company that he helped to develop with Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). This is obviously upsetting to Jill and to Lily, who have invested time and money to help this company succeed. Devon upsets Lily who feels personally betrayed. Devon will not budge and demands the return of his company. After some consideration, Jill and Lily suggest that Chancellor-Winters be renamed Chancellor Worldwide and go public. Then after the financial success of the public offering, they will buy out Devon’s share and he could start his own new company.
