CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that a big rumor going around right now is that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) are actually brother and sister! We’ve covered this already though. Let’s put that to the side for a moment and think about some other possibilities. Let’s say Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) did indeed have something to do with the death of Alyssa’s father, A.J. What if he did it to protect Adam?

We found out that Alyssa’s father was a loan shark, and not very many people liked him. It’s also possible that Cliff, Hope’s man, was indebted to A.J. and in trouble. Could Victor have returned tp Kansas to stop the man from possibly doing something to Adam and Hope?

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: If Victor Did Murder A.J. Was It For Adam’s Own Protection?

From what we know, Cliff was killed by a drunk driver. Could it have been A.J. however? Maybe it was actually him collecting a debt, and that’s why Cliff was killed. Next, A.J. could have been planning on going after Hope and Adam, but thankfully, Victor intervened. It’s a bit a stretch I understand, although, I think it’s more believable than Adam and Alyssa being brother and sister.

Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wanting to be a better father to Adam and wanting to protect him sounds about right. We know he wishes he had been a father to Adam when he was younger, maybe this was his way of helping him. Besides, actor Eric Braeden would probably not like the show writers making his character a plain out bad guy who just killed a man. There would have to be a deep-seated reason for his actions. Victor killed A.J to keep him from hassling Adam and Hope about Cliff’s old debt. That’s my guess, and I’m sticking with it. What do you think? Could Victor have been protecting Adam from A.J?
