CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that fans love nothing more than to watch some good family drama, and it looks like that’s what we have coming our way as we close out Newman Week.
We’ve seen a plethora of confrontations, declarations of love, and pivotal moments. And this episode looks to have all of those in one way or another.

Victor struggled with his memories for years as they drove him to be a better and successful man.
The one thing he’d never had was the opportunity to confront his father
Now, with his own son, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), at his side, Victor had that opportunity.
It took more effort than he’d anticipated, but Albert eventually admitting who he was and that he did have a son named Christian. He explained he’d never been a family man, and made no apologies.

Victor mentioned that he thought he should thank him, for without Albert’s cruelty and abandonment of his family, Victor never would’ve fought so hard to make something of himself.
Albert’s cynicism and taunting did little to push Victor away, so he turned to Nick and asked if he came to get to know his grandfather.
Nick told him to keep it between himself and Victor, and after a brief exchange, Victor unloaded all of his frustration and anger he’d been building up.
When he was finished, he and Nick left. Once outside, Victor had to sit down to steady himself, and Nick was there with him. He thanked Nick for being there, and then they left the hospice.

There’s a reason we’re told the past should remain there, but there are times when it’s good to visit.
Whether it’s going back to relive favorite memories or to remind ourselves where we came from. It’s what makes it special, like these episodes, and ‘Young and the Restless’ loves it.
Sometimes, we can’t help but take a trip back, and hopefully we learn something from it.
