CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers love how some things are inescapable, and that those that don’t tend to be earthshattering for the characters involved. It’s no surprise as that’s how it often works in real life, and that makes this episode an interesting mix of emotions, so we suggest having plenty of goodies on hand just in case. The first is what ‘Young and the Restless’ expect to be the worst-case scenario, and that’s Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) finding herself backed into a corner. This could easily be due to the overall stress of the situation, but it could have to do with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz)’s report that he found Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
With her own stress of her endeavor succeeded and the need to capitalize on it, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be pushing herself to make things perfect, but there could be an issue she’ll have to deal with.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For September 9: The Unknown
Chelsea has done everything she could think of to be there for Adam, whether it’s good or bad. She’s been his rock but she may be showing signs of cracking at him not seeing she’s all he needs. ‘Young and the Restless’ think her fear and frustration will start to get the best of her, and when Chance relates what he saw, it could break her.
Or even worse, he could admit he found Adam, but he’ll decide Chelsea doesn’t need to know the situation and she won’t believe him. That quick, she’ll feel alone and unable to trust or believe in anybody, and this could lead to as dark a path as Adam fears he’ll follow. This is going to be interesting to see how it unfolds over the next few weeks.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For September 9: Aye, Captain
Phyllis has been rocking her Escape Club, and we expect her to run into an obstacle in the form of Victoria Newman (Amelie Heinle). We expect Victoria will finally listen to her mother and take some time out to relax. Of course, relaxing isn’t one of her strong habits, so Phyllis will have to take over. If this is what happens, it’ll be a fun exchange as neither one will want to relinquish control, but we have faith that Phyllis will find a way to get her to enjoy herself.
