CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready for some possible plot twists and dangerous moves in this one, so we’re grabbing some popcorn.

We should see a good mix in this one between the dangerous bad decisions we expect with the usual family support and decisions for various choices.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 5: Devon’s surprised

This will be an interesting scene we can see going a couple of ways. The first is Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will catch Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) off guard by telling him they agree to give him more parental rights.

At this point, ‘Young and the Restless’ think Abby switched into placatory and enabler mode to try to make everyone happy, and if she does this will cause some serious problems with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Victor doesn’t like being left out of any decision, especially when it infringes on his say over his family.

The other possibility is she’ll walk in and legitimately surprise Devon, whether he’s working on something of playing with Dominic is the question.

This could lead to the above mentioned conversation, so we’ll have to wait and see.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 5: Take a chance

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will take his customary seat in the dad mobile as he sits down with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and encourages him to try a new opportunity.

This sounds like working for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), unless there’s something else that caught Noah’s eye.

It’ll also give Nick another chance to see if he can’t get Noah to open up a little more about what happened in London, but we have a feeling that one will take a while yet.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 5: Chance wants back in

With no one really doing anything to help him get over his PTSD, Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) will want to get back into the swing of things to work through it.

It makes sense as few things feel less productive or more torturous than having to sit and wait for things to return to normal. To do this, he’s going to enlist/draft Rey Rosales (Jodi Vilasuso) to help get him back on the force.

We don’t think Rey will be as gung ho for it as Chance wants, but he don’t see him refusing either. Assuming Chance agrees to all of the evaluations and all before returning to work.

What do you think Abby has in mind for Devon? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
