Nothing like kicking off the week with some Newman family turmoil, and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are all set for what looks like an interesting episode.

There are going to be a couple of surprises in store for us, and we’re curious what seeds are being planted for future storylines. We’ve been disappointed lately, but we’re optimistic things will turn around at some point.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For December 13: Nikki tries to heal the wounds

With Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) on the outs with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and the Newmans in general, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will once again try her hand at bringing the two together.

At this point, we’re curious how many fights can she have left when she’s trying to clean up one of Victor’s messes nearly every month, but it does speak to her love and tenacity.

She might be fighting a losing battle in this case as Nick may not be ready to give in just yet. He will in time, just as he always does, but we expect this to be drawn out a little more.

Another catch is she’ll try to get Victor to meet him halfway, and the great Moustache doesn’t capitulate to anyone when he feels he’s right, which is pretty much all the time.

This regular bit could surprise us if Nick is finally ready to sever ties with his father. It would be an interesting plot twist.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For December 13: Amanda’s surprise

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will be cooking up a pleasant surprise for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and it’s possible it could be their own bun in the oven.

It makes sense as he’s struggling with the Dominic situation right now, and the timing is odd given she and her sister are opening their own legal practice.

Still, it would be a pretty cool storyline for Devon to become the father he’s always wanted to be.

Then there’s the most likely scenario where Amanda’s literally cooking him one of her favorite meals that’ll lead to a tender moment.

At this point, ‘Young and the Restless’ are ready for anything.

Of course, this could be the jumping-off part for them to begin their own family, and that would be pretty cool.

With any luck, this time Devon will have a happy ending instead of more of the unending torment the show’s been dishing out on young parents lately.

What do you think Amanda’s cooking up for Devin? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
