CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are set to start a new week off with some rehashing and new developments for some storylines.
It looks like it’s going to be a hit-or-miss episode when it comes to action, though there are a couple of spots that could prove interesting down the road.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 4: Ashland won’t back down
We’re guessing the pressure on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will be growing now that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has named Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as acting CEO for Newman-Locke.
Publicly he did it to cover for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) going to Tuscany with Ashland, but in reality, it’s his way to ramp up the pressure and force Ashland’s hand.
His hope will be that if Ashland really loves Victoria he’ll concede his part of the company to make peace. And also that Victoria will feel like she’s getting shut out and turn on Ashland like Victor wants.
Victoria will most likely be more pissed that Victor’s refusing to trust her, and Ashland won’t back down from his claims.
Things are going to get a little spicey here. There’s a good chance this will only make Victoria side with Ashland out of spite until she can get the proof to take him to the cleaners.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 4: Growing closer
No surprise to ‘Young and the Restless’ that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will continue to bond.
Of course, this could be a one-way thing as Rey is happily married, which would open the door for the old Chelsea to try her hand at breaking him and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) up.
But we’re curious if the writers are taking a different approach and have Chelsea win Rey over simply by being someone he can talk to and not judge him. Stranger things have happened.
It won’t be the typical type of drama, but it would be relatively fresh ground.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 4: Not according to plan
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will have something special planned for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but there always has to be one or a dozen potholes in the ground for the simplest things.
We’re curious what his plan is and what threatens to derail her plans, but we’re going to guess it has to do with a celebration or getaway she has planned to reward him for doing the right thing.
