CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that today’s revisited episode is that passing of Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) biological daughter that she gave up for adoption, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes). It’s a hard episode to watch, and seeing Cassie pass hit a lot of people.
Today on Instagram, ‘The Young and the Restless’ official page, they shared a photo of Cassie and asked people what their favorite memory was of the character. Many people responded.

Comments came in like, “When Cassie testified court at her adoption hearing. It was magical. But also seeing her get off the bus for thr first time. And finding her lucky penny”, “That episode is soooo heartbreaking when she passes away ?”, “The most incredible child actress! (And still amazing).”, “I loved Cassie from the moment she stepped off that school bus!!”, and “Loved the episode when she became part of their family especially when she spoke to the judge in court. Most sad episode was when she passed …crying while watching it”.
Thankfully, Camryn Grimes, who portrayed Cassie is still with us and portrays Mariah Copeland. Sharon mistook Mariah for Cassie but have since formed a close bond. Mariah has been by Sharon’s side while she battles cancer over the last few months.
