CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that even little innocent Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is having issues now! Since arriving back in Genoa City from boarding school, no one suspected Faith to be a troublemaker. We were wrong! To be fair, the young woman does have something tough going on in her life. Her mother, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has breast cancer, and it’s obviously been putting some strain on Faith.

However, it turns out that Faith has been skipping school and being a bit of a smart mouth. This is what Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) needed Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) help with. Nick has to head out to Chicago for business and he didn’t want to bother Sharon with this at the moment. Luckily, Rey knows a good trick to get through to a kid who’s skipping school. A little good ole’ fashion manual labor!

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Faith Is Having Issues In School! – Rey Knows A Trick For That

Faith is home from school while the teachers have an in-service kind of thing. However, she won’t get to enjoy her movie marathon today. Rey catches her off guard when he asks her about school. Rey explains her mother doesn’t know, and Faith tells him she will fix it. She just doesn’t want him to tell Sharon while she’s dealing with her own issues. She begs and pleads, but Rey knows exactly how to deal with this behavior.

Tricked into thinking she was getting lunch at Society, Faith unknowingly walks into some work! She’ll be doing dishes, busing tables and doing whatever Lola Rosales (Sasha Calles) needs her to do. This is her punishment and how she’ll learn not to skip school. Good on Rey, that’s some solid parenting. Plus, it gives a moment for Lola and Faith to have a chat and it was a nice exchange. I wouldn’t mind seeing more of them on-screen together. What do you think? Do you like Rey’s parenting method? Let us know in the comments below.
