CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that star Eileen Davidson (Ashely Abbott) recently opened up about a new exciting soap movie project that she will be starring in! Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Eileen said that when life gets back to normal (or as normal as it can get) after the coronavirus outbreak, she is looking forward to working on a new film project.

The actress told the publication, “Blake Berris asked me to be in his movie, Fangirl. There’s a really terrific cast and it’s very well written. It’s about a fan who travels to a soap convention to meet her soap idol, who Blake will play. I play a soap opera actress who’s a little jaded and likes to put other actors in their place. She basically calls out people on their b.s.”
Eileen continued, “It’s not a huge part but it’s going to be a fun project and I really like it a lot. Everything was put on hold because of the pandemic, but we are having a table reading by Zoom soon, which I am looking forward to. We are hoping to pull it together but that’s going to be tricky because a lot of the movie takes place during a convention, so it will be interesting to see how that works out.”
A film about a soap fan who travels to a soap convention to meet their favorite soap star, who happens to be played by a real-life soap actress? We are in! This is a movie that we will definitely be putting on our radar in the weeks to come.
