CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers known as the ultimate villain in Genoa City, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) hasn’t always had his hands clean. Over the years, we have seen Victor scheme, blackmail, torture, brawl, and abduct. He is no stranger to poor decisions or criminal acts. Despite his lousy business dealings and questionable choices, the Genoa City veteran has made an impact on the hearts of Y&R fans. He has made his way through many bachelorettes throughout the years, before finally settling down with his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). However, we can’t help but ask: Did Victor really do it?
With Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) digging up past history in Kansas City with the help of Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDominico), Y&R producers introduced the idea that Victor may, in fact, be guilty of murder. Adam used the “proof” that he thought he had as blackmail to get control of Newman Enterprises, which Victor very quickly handed over. Though he is a remaining mum about the situation, Victor adamantly denies his role in the murder of his wife.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Does Victor Have Blood on His Hands?
This week, we saw Victor flashback to the murder victim, AJ Montalvo, lying dead on a barn floor in Kansas. Now Y&R fans are wondering: Is Victor really guilty of committing murder? And, if he isn’t, why did he hand over the company without a fight? If we know anything about Victor, it’s that everything he does is extremely calculated. He thinks about every step he takes. So, we can assume that his decision to hand over the company was in the best interest.
Based solely on the fact he told his wife that he didn’t murder AJ, I believe that he isn’t guilty. Over the past several years, we have seen Victor’s character mellow out. He has become more of a family man and a loving husband. With Eric Braeden’s retirement on the horizon, I find it difficult to believe that he would damage his marriage with an outright lie at this point.
However, if he didn’t kill AJ, then the only conclusion available is: Victor must know who killed AJ, and he must be covering for the guilty party. Victor doesn’t pull favors for just anyone – especially when it comes to the integrity within his family and the business that took him decades to build. There’s one thing Y&R fans can be sure of, though, and that’s: there will be one interesting story plot to follow all of this. We just have to wait for it! What do you think the story is behind Kansas and AJ Montavlo? What do you think will happen with Newman Enterprises?
