Nate has been enjoying his new position at Newman Enterprises a little too much. He is ambitious and power hungry and this has been the environment where that is encouraged and thrives.
His girlfriend Elena has been worried about this for him because he did not manage that type of power well at Chancellor-Winters. She believes that it changed his personality and she does not want that for him. She wants him to succeed but doesn’t want his character to be negatively impacted.
Nate also has caught the eye of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). They share a passion for the job but have also shared some passionate kisses. The chemistry and attraction are strong, and this has caught the attention of Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

Audra lets Elena know that Nate and Victoria are close. She can’t help but stir the pot and cause trouble and chaos. Elena questions Nate who then has words with Audra. He denies anything is going on with Victoria.
He is the one who has been trying to put the brakes on the physical entanglement with Victoria. While she excites him and he admires her, he knows that Elena has his heart. He doesn’t want to mess that up.
Victoria is the one who thinks she can play with him at work to her heart’s content and no one needs to know. When she runs into Elena, she gushes about how amazing Nate is and how wonderful he is to work with. This gives Elena pause again, even though Nate just reaffirmed his commitment to their relationship.
When she visits Nate at work, Victoria calls. When Victoria invites Nate for a drink, Nate tells her no and chooses Elena over his work. This scores big points with Elena, who sees direct evidence of Nate putting her first.
