CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and ready with another throwback spoiler featuring one of daytime television’s top super couples. After yesterday’s experience, today’s is as close to a do-over as we can get. In some ways, it’s another day in the experience of Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) as their relationship has come and gone like all super couples.
What makes this episode cool is it shows how their love never dies. Sure, it may go away from time to time, hide away in the attic or trick them into thinking of someone else to eventually lure them back together. We also get to see Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) make a confession. Perhaps for her trying to run Cricket over and hitting Paul instead? All this fun comes to us from an episode from August 7, 1996. The plot thickens.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers expect Phyllis’ confession to be that she finally had enough of Cricket and tried to squash her like a bug. Considering how much Phyllis hates her, it’s more of a question of what took her so long to try? Still, the fallout from this should be interesting to watch, as well as what caused her to decided to come forward now. It feels right that she’d do this prior to or during their wedding when asked if anyone has something to say. Not that it’d work to postpone the wedding. Nothing would’ve stopped it this time.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For July 2: Another attempt
After the issues they had with their 1994 wedding, this one was bound to go a little smoother for Christine and Paul. At least, one would hope so. In a beautiful ceremony that stands along side the best ones put out over the years. There’s something magical about this couple during their run through the 90s and 00s that still reverberate with fans today. Whenever we watch them, the goosebumps come and nostalgia for these days try to pull us back.

It was a fun time and it’s great to see these moments as more than flashbacks or highlight reels. It helps to breathe life into a relationship we only see in snippets anymore now that a new generation has taken over the show and seek to make it their own.
