With Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) fighting for his life, fans have taken to social media to share their insight into what this means and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are set to run with it.
It’s no secret that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) have some magic left between them and Rey’s been standing in the way.
While Sharon never had any intention of leaving him, Rey’s insecurities got the best of him and Adam proved him right to a certain extent.

So it seems obvious that Adam poisoned Rey to remove him from the equation, right?
Not so fast.
Fans have shared an interesting twist that CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers thinks has some possibilities.

During her recovery, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) has made it her purpose in life to get her revenge on Adam for wanting Sharon over her, and it looks like she may have done that.
How she did it is anyone’s guess, but we don’t see Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) helping her to this extent, but it’s definitely possible.
And considering Chelsea has kept her improvement a secret from Adam could hint at her being capable of more.
The belief is that Chelsea is the one responsible for poisoning Rey and she’s setting Adam up to take the blame.
Adam will deny it and is as innocent here as he was in the shooting, but that won’t matter as the expose on him will still be fresh in a lot of people’s minds, including the police.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Adam’s downfall
Though Adam will eventually be found innocent, there’s a belief that because of the accusation Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will pull his agreement to sell his media company Cyaxares.
If this happens, we expect it’ll go to ChanceComm and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to spite Adam.
It’ll rile Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but since Victor vouched for Adam Ashland could hold him responsible as well.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) also has a chance because of her ties with Billy, but the fact it’s Newman Enterprises could be enough to dissuade Ashland from doing that.
This storyline has the potential to be the show’s best this year.
Considering the amount of times we’ve seen Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) be indifferent and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway go on about her eggs this is a hard-hitting storyline the show needs.
