CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal food is a serious subject. Especially when one can’t have certain favorites. In an awesome side plot that shows how good writing/acting can be in soaps, someone learned the hard way how important can be. As well as loyalty. Let’s take a look at what went down.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Cheater, Cheater

Now, we’ll admit we’re not regular viewers of this show. We happened to catch some with another writer was watching, and our attention instantly turned away from what we were doing. Why? Because it’s just so ridiculous and well-done, it’s awesome. It seems that pregnancy is having a nasty side effect for poor Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) caught the heat for it.

See, The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate Chloe found out Kevin’s been a bad, bad boy. She accused him of cheating in front of Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman). But she wasn’t talking about other women. Kevin’s crime was apparently much more serious. He dared to have sushi at her favorite place that day—without her. She then went on an awesome ode to all the things she can no longer enjoy and how he can. There are a few reasons we loved it so much.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Dieting Sucks

Restrictive diets can be interesting at times, especially when those restrictions include things you really like—and we know that first-hand. It was like Chloe spoke for every person who has a craving for that favorite they can’t have. It was a humorous moment rooted in truth. And we think that’s sometimes the best writing. Although, we also think Chloe should cool it on her desperation for birth. At least if she’s not planning to bottle feed. We’ve known people that can’t have certain things even after the birth because the child isn’t reacting well to it. Poor Chloe better hope that’s not the case. But, here’s what we really loved about the scene.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Masterful Work

Actress Elizabeth Hendrickson did a masterful job Wednesday. ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers reveal she took the already hilarious writing and leveled it up with her delivery. Especially when she said, “Betrayal.” The vocal delivery and facial expression were awesome. Also, co-star Rikkart showed he hasn’t lost any of those comedy skills from when he played Leo Stark on ”Days of Our Lives’. His look when she pointed out where he ate that day, and his “I’m screwed, and I admit it” delivery when he explained to the others what, exactly, he did was also perfect. Adding to the fun was when Michael refused to leave because they were getting, “Dinner and a show.” It’s a perfect example of the evil that brothers are capable of. A totally simple, real moment delivered well by all involved. And that is why we think soaps get a bad rep for their writing and acting.

She’s a recent Days of Our Lives convert, having grown up on the nighttime shows of the '90s. She’s also an accomplished writer in many fields, including paranormal fiction. Jamie loves the crazy twists that Soap Opera writers come up with, even though she's sometimes yelling at the characters. As a published and accomplished writer, she knows how to get into the minds of the writers and is usually bang on in predicting plot twists before they come to life. When she’s not writing for Daily Soap Dish, Jamie binge watches telenovelas as a way to improve her Spanish. They also fuel her muse, which tends to upset her readers.
