Looks like we’re closing out the week in typical Genoa City styles and ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are all set for some interesting moments.
With next week being crossover week with ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ they have to start putting things in motion, and that means someone’s going to be unhappy.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 8: Billy steps on Kyle’s toes
Even when things are slow and boring, something always seems to come up that’s odd enough for us to pay attention to, and it looks like this is going to involve Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Oddly enough, it looks like he’s going to either keep Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) from going to Los Angeles or he’s going to go in his place.
This could be an interesting turn that we assume is meant for Billy to get something special for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) or to chase down a new story.
We’re curious how this happens since Kyle was going with Summer Newman (Hunter King), so maybe Billy’s going with them instead of bumping Kyle off the trip.
It’d definitely put a kink in Kyle and Summer’s plans, but it could lead to some fun moments.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has been trying to learn about her past and asked to speak with her mother, but then her half sister arrived and told her to leave their mother alone.
‘Young and the Restless’ expect things to escalate as Amanda will be warned off under threat of a lawsuit or worse.
We can understand the protectiveness, but if things go the way we expect to, could it lead to some darker elements of organized crime behind the family Amanda’s unaware of?
Probably not, but at this point anything’s possible.

It was only a matter of time until Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) hooked up officially as a couple, and it looks like it’s happening.
Of course, there’s every possibility that things will go off without a hitch, but could Nate have problems?
He’s been dealing with a lot of questions about his future as a doctor, so what if that anxiety and stress has made him unable to perform in other areas?
Just a thought, but it would be one of the few things the show hasn’t touched on lately.
