CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that Jill is working on playing damage control when a battered and bruised Billy shows up to her doorstep – that is, metaphorically. As ex-wife, Victoria Newman, lays in a hospital bed and fights for her life, and (newly) ex-girlfriend, Amanda Browning, hides out so she isn’t the next target of her psycho ex- boyfriend, Billy Abbott has pulled the “Oh Poor Me” card in the arms of mother, Jill.
Jill, who often displays warmth and tenderness to the people of Genoa City, provides
Billy with sympathy and love as he is mourning his relationship with Amanda and the
overwhelming events of Genoa City in the past week. Jill hasn’t had too many plot twists or
cameos lately, is playing the caring mother figure.

In fact, not only did Jill listen to Billy’s sob story, but she even offered him a prestige
position at Chancellor Industries! She suggests that he manages the company’s social media
department. She even reminds him that he can go head-to-head with the team over at
Newman! No better way to get over a breakup than go to bat with your ex father-in-law!
Despite this, Billy proves that he is a sucker for punishment because he rejects the job
offer. He cites that “it’s a made-up position” to Jill and that’s why he isn’t interested in taking
the position. He doesn’t want any handouts, of course.

With poise, Jill keeps her composure and understands Billy’s rejection of her job offer.
She allows Billy to continue on feeling sorry for himself. Billy continues on to Jill stating that
“everybody that trusts me regrets it!”.
A true sob story in the days of Genoa City – it’s almost like Billy forgot that there are
some serious trauma’s going on in other people’s lives! Luckily, Jill was poised and classy, as per usual. Despite Billy’s woes, it was actually a nice mother-son moment to witness.
