CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that it’s 2006 in Genoa City. Throwing it back to ’06 when things were getting rally steamy for the Baldwin and Fisher clan!
Yesterday, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) was walking down the aisle and today, he’s scheming. Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman) is back on her usually drama and the mother-son duo are keeping things interesting as fans catch up on their YR flashbacks during this lockdown.
This week has been a little confusing for viewers. Yesterday, we were in 2008 and today it’s 2006 in Genoa City. Not only was Kevin getting married yesterday (he clearly came a long way in two years), but Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) got in a heated chat with River Baldwin (Michael Gross).

Because River abandoned Michael as a child, he was raised by Tom (Roscoe Born) and we all know how that went. However, flashback two years prior and Michael is expecting a child with his beautiful wife, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman).
He’s a little nervous for the big day, because his childhood and his fatherly role model were both an absolute disaster.
Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is in love with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is mourning the loss of her daughter, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) and her marriage to her cheating husband, Nick.
Because what would a YR flashback be without Nick being in a love triangle with either Phyllis and Sharon. Poor Sharon. Also, Phyllis feels no shame, of course.
There seems to be no clarification for why the shows were aired backwards but it seems like everything is going well in Genoa City because filming is back in production! What was your favourite part of this 2006 episode?
