‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers suggest that things aren’t really going as Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) planned.

Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and Phyllis Summer (Michelle Stafford) came up with a plan to destroy Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). They set it up so that Diane was caught threatening Phyllis by several witnesses.
Then Phyllis collapsed as she was attacking Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane upon the cusp of their engagement announcement. She was taken away by ambulance. Then the ambulance apparently was in an accident and the driver was thrown from the vehicle.
The ambulance supposedly erupted into flames with Phyllis and another EMT still inside. This is on the word of the driver, but Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has not investigated the scene on his own.
Who knows what really happened. Stark is demanding to know what occurred and is solidly pointing a finger at Diane. He says he and Phyllis are married, and he has to know what Diane did to her.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Falling Apart
No one really trusts Jeremy because they know he is a criminal. He also doesn’t seem to be very upset about Phyllis’ death. Jeremy does act angry when confronting Jack or Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) but the rest of the time he is nonchalant.
He doesn’t appear anxious or upset, but just casually checks his phone. It is apparent to anyone who watches him that Phyllis must really be fine.
Stark also wants to get everyone to turn against Diane and for Chance to arrest her, but he seems to be doing a really poor job at getting people to side with him. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) suspects Stark of foul play as does Daniel Romalotti.
Daniel notes that Phyllis actually called Stark a criminal when talking to him, so he knows she would never marry Stark as he claims. Obviously, Jack doesn’t trust Stark and believes in Diane.
Probably the only person who would consider siding against Diane is Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) because of her grief at the loss of her mother. For a plan that succeeds in framing Diane, this isn’t working all too well.
