CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that while a lot of fans would agree that the Newman family on the show is perhaps one of the most complicated and if not also chaotic families, luckily that’s not the case at all for the actors on the hit soap. Here’s why.
In a new interview with the Dishing With Digest podcast, actress Amelia Heinle, who is best known for her role as Victoria Newman on the hit soap, admitted that there’s nothing but off-screen love between her and her on-screen parents, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman).

The actress put it this way during the interview, “I just like Melody so much. I don’t know how it happened but we just love each other. We just laugh. She doesn’t know all the details of my personal life. We don’t call each other on a daily basis. But when we are at the studio, it’s just like, I don’t know. And it happened right away, actually with her because and Eric were great from the start and I’m not sure why. They are not like that with everyone and I’m not like that with everyone.”

Amelia went on to say that she was surprised that Eric and Melody turned to be quite different than what she expected, especially considering that they are two of the biggest stars in the daytime television world. The beautiful brunette continued, “I actually thought they were going to be big divas and they weren’t, they were just really kind to me. We just became closer and closer. We get on set and me and Mel and Josh Morrow, we just get each other. It’s just so much time spent with each other in these toles. You have to laugh at it but we also take it very seriously at the same time. They have the nice balance of getting it. It’s not real life, but it means something to people.”
