CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers say that while there are a lot of soap stars who often move around from one soap to another, that hasn’t been the case for Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman) in recent years. That’s because she’s found a stable home on ‘Young and the Restless’, even though she says that the move to Genoa City was initially supposed to be a temporary one. Here’s what she has to say.
“I assumed that I wouldn’t be at Y&R long before going on to the next show,” she admitted to Soaps In Depth. “The first show that I was on [LOVING], I was so young, so after a time, I wanted to try something new.”

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Amelia Heinle Admits That Genoa City Feels Like Her Real Home
While it certainly did take some time before Amelia found her home, she had to go through several different soaps to find it first.
“Then the second soap [AMC], I didn’t really want to stay there,” Heinle continued. “I liked a lot of people there and made a lot of friends, but it wasn’t the same compared to when I came to The Young and the Restless. I totally fell in love with it! It’s like being part of a sports team. This is my team! I just felt like I belonged here, and as corny as this may sound, I feel like I’m rooting for this team!”
Luckily, Amelia soon realized that ‘Young and the Restless’ truly felt like a soap that she wanted to spend the rest of her career with. And as they say, the rest became history.
