CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Recap finds that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) as been lukewarm with her relationship with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). After Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) had left her for Summer Newman (Hunter King), the end of her marriage has been difficult for her. Though she has been toying at the potential of Theo, she has kept him at an arm’s length – despite Theo’s efforts. The two finally seemed to be heating up when they had planned a trip to New York City. However, it looks like this couple will be in Genoa City for the foreseeable future, as Lola has decided it is a bad time to leave the city.
At Society, Theo and Lola see each other. They talk briefly about Dina and about Lola’s impending divorce from Kyle. It’s a tough time for both of them. When Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) shows up, he talks with Lola alone. Lola reassures Rey that Theo is a good guy, however Rey is skeptical. She tells him that Kyle and she are going to move forward with the divorce proceedings. He is concerned – divorce is tricky, and he understands if her heard isn’t ready for it yet.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Recap: Are Things Fizzling Out for Lola and Theo?
They begin discussing Sharon and Rey makes a comment about Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) leaving. Lola is concerned, so Rey fills her in. Sharon has cancer. She is shocked. Lola, being warm and loving, offered to make the pair dinners and help in any way she can. She offers to watch Faith more to give the couple more time to process. She is obviously a great source of support for Rey, and he appreciates it.
As Lola heads back into Society, she tells Theo that it’s best that they postpone their trip to New York. She wants to be there for Rey and should sort out her divorce before they leave town. Theo plays it off well and agrees – even though he literally just purchased surprise Broadway tickets. Looks like he will have to cancel the show, too. Lola is grateful for his understanding, and Theo exists so he can cancel the tickets. Does this mean that their romance may fizzle out? Do you think Theo is more invested in their relationship than Lola?
