CBS ‘The Young and Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that this looks like one of those weeks where stuff is going to start hitting the fan, and the show is so looking forward to this.
What makes this even more fun is it looks like some of the best storyline will involve helping Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in some way. While Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will do what she can do to help, ‘Young and the Restless’ expect her to set boundaries with Adam and probably Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as well.
While Sharon’s trying to work her magic, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will be working to come up with a way to help Adam as well. One thing that’ll really make this interesting is how everyone in the main Newman family is perfectly fine with allowing Adam to suffer and waste away. While that may be justifiable to some extent, how long before they push too far? We could be nearing that.

CBS ‘The Young and Restless’ Spoilers For August 17: Sharon Lays Down The Law
As much as everyone feels Sharon needs to be protected, she’s not one to allow others to fight her battles and she’ll take control of this situation as much as she can.
To do that means she’ll lay down the law, so Adam will have a boundary he won’t cross, But ‘Young and the Restless’ think it’ll also involve Nick, maybe entirely for him. As much as she loves Nick, the way he sent Adam away and kinda sorta told her what to do, she’ll probably remember this. She’ll also know she won’t get anywhere with Adam with Nick busting in constantly. Of course, the real reason will always be Adam. She’ll want to protect herself and him from his emotions. But Adam will need more help, and that’s going to come from an unexpected source.
CBS ‘The Young and Restless’ Spoilers For August 17: Victor And Chelsea Put Their Heads Together
The two people that love Adam the most will work tirelessly to find a way to help him cope with the knowledge of what he did, and this will lead to more family tension. But while the other Newmans won’t understand, this could be a breakthrough in the relationship between Victor, Chelsea, and Adam.
Given the current state of things, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that they’ll form the new nexus of the Newman family with the other children choosing to remain on the edge.
