Cary Elwes, who is best known for appearing on Princess Bride, has reassured fans that he is doing ok after being bitten by a rattlesnake.

According to reports, the incident was alleged to have happened within the vicinity of his home in Malibu, California. While there could have been a serious cause of concern, the quick response of medical professionals was enough to ensure that things did not turn out to be life threatening.
With that being said, Cary was just happy to be in a good place. In a post to his fans on Twitter, Carey shared a picture of his finger which clearly shows that it has swollen. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Bit not by a ROUS but a rattlesnake.
“Grateful to the staff of Malibu Urgent Care, LA County Fire Dept. and the staff and medical professionals at UCLA for their great care. Am recovering well thanks to all these wonderful folks.”
But aside from having close shaves in real life, the actor will be doing the same when it comes to the movie screen. He is set to appear alongside Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 7, which is set for a release date of 2023.
That is clearly a huge honour in and of itself, something which the actor will be looking to keep that way by avoiding any further injuries. The response on social media from the fans was one of concern.
People were hoping that Carey would recover as soon as possible, whilst also stating that he had a lucky escape as who knows on any other given day what could have happened.
One person wrote: “Glad you got help quickly. I almost stepped on this brute a while back. Luckily he rattled in time for me to stop & go the other direction! Take care!”
