Maybe it’s a good idea for some celebrities to just keep their personal opinions to themselves, right? Candace Cameron Bure is once again stirring up controversy by saying that she’s not anti-vaccination, but just pro-medical freedom.
At the same time, she hasn’t confirmed or denied whether or not she’s gotten the jab herself, while insisting that she’s just trying to clarify her stance on vaccinations, by saying that she’s anti-vaccine mandates. Here’s what she’s “against” and “for” apparently.
Candace Cameron Bure Stirs Controversy By Saying She’s Not Anti-Vax, But Pro-Medical Freedom
The Fuller House star shared a series of graphics on her Instagram account that expressed, “I’m not anti-v, I’m just pro-medical freedom.” She captioned her post with, “This mama is holding the line and standing up for freedom. This should not separate us. We can have different opinions and still respect and love one another. Be bigger than that!”
This comes after she shared in an Instagram Story that she doesn’t want to disclose her own vaccination status, but also made it clear that she’s against vaccine mandates.
“I can no longer stay silent on vaccine mandates. Although I will not disclose my vaccination status to you, I am absolutely opposed to vaccine MANDATES, anywhere,” she wrote in a since-expired Story from September. “We must speak up.”
Many critics have commented on the matter with, “So pro medical freedom means she’s pro-choice now? Probably not only when it suits her narrative,” along with, “For alot of people, the government is their immune system.”
Another critic said, “Please don’t give me a vaccine that causes an IMMUNE response ….. clearly that child acting career kept her from school.” So far Cameron has not responded to any of the criticism.
