Well, she is the queen and she can certainly do whatever she wants, right? Well, maybe. There are new reports that say Camilla Parker Bowles is making a lot of changes at Sandringham Estate and let’s just say that there are some people out there who are not liking it. Here’s what you need to know.
Apparently, Camilla wants Sandringham to feel less like a hotel and more like a home, if that makes sense. One source close to the situation told The Mail on Sunday, “Camilla respects Sir Tony [Johnstone-Burt, head of the Royal Household] but perhaps sees things differently from him. The Queen Consort doesn’t want the homes and palaces run like the sort of corporate hotel you might find at a motorway service station. Camilla doesn’t want the towels put on the bed, but laid out on the rails in the bathrooms. She wants nice soap, not the same little individually wrapped soaps you get in a hotel.”
Camilla Parker Bowles Is Making A Lot Of Changes At Sandringham Estate And Some People Are Not Liking It
Unfortunately, Camilla’s plans have left a lot of staff members disconnected. The tipster added, “Not all of the changes have been welcomed by Sandringham staff, many of whom served for decades under the previous regime.”
Not only that, but it seems like some staffers try everything to avoid Camilla and King Charles whenever they see them out and about at Sandringham Estate. The tipster added, “Charles walks the corridors and wants to know where people are dashing off to. He wants to stop and talk to them. They don’t understand it.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, but at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. With that said, it looks like the new normal is here to stay with Charles and Camilla at the helm, regardless if people like it or not.
