Demi Lovato said awhile back that they will be sharing no more of their sobriety journey online due to the amount of hate that they got for their new “California Sober” lifestyle, the definition of that is, they’re sober except for using cannibis only occassionally.
This made a lot of fans raise an eyebrow, and even Elton John said on the documentary itself, “You’re either sober or you’re not. There is no in-between.” well, now it seems that they’ve invited more raising of the eyebrows, because they were seen getting into the back of a car from a Halloween party with Tana Mongeau.
Tana Mongeau is decidedly not sober.
On her podcasts, she and her co-hosts drink a pretty good bit, and marijuana is just a thing with her. In fact a doctor told her that she was damaging her lungs from smoking so much of it on her reality TV show (back before MTV pulled the plug.), and Tana has also been open about other addiction struggles in the past, like she said she had an addiction to Xanax, she said that while she wasn’t trying to actively kill herself, she definitely didn’t care whether or not she lived or died.
However, she’s also come out and said recently that her mental health has been better and she’s no longer in that place.
So does this mean that Demi Lovato has fallen off the sobriety wagon? Not exactly. Because Tana has said several times that she hangs out with Trevor Moran, a former regular partgoer who used to party it up just as hard as Tana, but who has gone stone cold sober.
She and all of her friend group hang out with him and that has not affected his sobriety journey in the slightest, though, he does have other friends who do remain sober so Tana’s not his central friend group anymore and we’re just going to assume the same for Demi.
Although, some fans have speculated that these two could be an item, they could be dating, and that’s why Tana and Demi were getting into the back seat of a car together. Yet another fan posed another question, “Can no one just be friends anymore?” it could be perfectly innocent, it could be two friends, or even just acquaintances, sharing a ride together.
After all, Tana did say that her uber account had a lot of strikes on it. Guess we’ll find out on her podcast soon. Stay tuned!!!
