British Royal News finds that it seems as though no matter what they do, or where they go the critics will always have something negative to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This time around doesn’t seem to be any different, as the two ex-working royals are getting slammed for attending a Miami summit, in which they were reportedly paid speaking fees. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Page Six, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are believed to have been paid $1 million to attend the exclusive Alternative Investment Summit that took place in Miami last week. While the couple is known to be very outspoken when it comes to environmental issues, they are now being associated with JP Morgan, which has been accused in the past of pumping billions into fossil fuel firms. This isn’t sitting well for a lot of people, especially considering that Harry and Meghan were also slammed for taking several trips on private jets across Europe last summer.

And now British PR gurus and royal experts are wasting no time in letting everyone know what they think about Harry and Meghan’s latest move. Many are saying that the Sussex’s link to JP Morgan is not a good look, while also advising them to be careful about how they accept their money in the future and more importantly, from whom.

“They need to be careful,” royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told the outlet. “If you preach, you should practice what you preach. When it comes to the rich and famous, there is an awful lot of hypocrisy over climate change.” If that weren’t enough, Twitter users have also voiced their disapproval. So far neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle has made any comments about the controversy.
