Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Christmas card tries and fails to make it appear as if they have the ideal family. However, no “normal” family sends a Christmas card like this. Let’s break it down.
Prince Harry And Meghan Refuse To Show Their Children
The first issue that is glaringly obvious in their card is the second picture of them with their children and their dogs. However, they don’t show their children’s faces, just the backs of their heads.
The image looks fake, contrived, and disorganized. It insinuates that their family is morally superior to the royal family, as the children should be protected and not photographed at every whim.
However, they should either share a picture of their children or not release a picture at all. The most hilarious part of this card is that they think they are one step above the media. They seem determined to continue the false narrative that they are better than the royals, which clearly isn’t working for them.
In the first picture, the Duchess of Sussex tries to echo Princess Diana. She’s hugging a child, she loves all children, and Meghan is just like Harry’s mum.
Meghan isn’t anywhere near empathetic enough to be Diana’s successor. She’s just a copycat, a hypocrite, and a cosplay royal.
The third picture is Harry and Meghan on one of their quasi-royal tours to one of the underprivileged countries they love to visit so that Meghan can wear a dress or an outfit that costs thousands of dollars; a slap in the face for impoverished people who can’t afford healthy food or adequate healthcare. Who exactly is their PR agent?
Also, in the third shot, the couple carefully avoided capturing the top of Harry’s bald head, which may actually draw more attention to it.
The Sussexes Remind Us Of Their Cosplay Royal Tours
The fourth image is of the pair in Nigeria laughing with the Nigeran people, trying hard to make themselves look relatable and down to earth. Again, they are trying to convey the message that they are better than the royal family.
The fifth picture is Prince Harry and Meghan on their quasi-royal tour of Columbia. In case we’ve forgotten, the picture is supposed to remind us that Prince Harry and Meghan do royal better than the royal family. They also try to prove to the world that they are just two humanitarians who “show up” and “do good.”
The sixth picture is Harry capturing a photo with him and a wounded soldier, possibly to remind us that he, too, was a soldier. Perhaps it’s also promoting his Invictus Games without actually “promoting” it.
At the end of this ridiculous Christmas card is an oddly impersonal message that reads:
“The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions, and Archewell Foundation would like to wish us a “Happy Holiday Season.”
It’s supposed to be a corporate card, but overly indulgent and personal. Listing all the companies yet sharing personal photos sends a conflicting message. In short, it’s a series of weird, contrived images that make them look fake. And they criticized the Princess of Wales for her photos. This Christmas card makes you wonder why.
