British Royal Family News: Workaholic Queen Elizabeth Refuses To Zoom

British Royal Family News says that while many of the senior members of the British royal family have been doing their usual work and engagements through social media and video technology apps like Zoom, Queen Elizabeth isn’t very keen on doing it at all. In fact, the leader of the British monarchy is hoping to get back on her feet and back to work again. However, it might be a very long time before that happens, seeing how the global pandemic that is the coronavirus is yet to subside. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Vanity Fair, Queen Elizabeth is eager to get back to work on her royal engagements and public appearances and unlike other members of the royal family, does not want to reign from behind a computer screen. In fact, Her Majesty is hoping to continue meeting and greeting state officials once the coronavirus lockdown has subsided. While the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is slowly easing lockdown restrictions, it might still be many long months before life in the UK will go back to ‘normal,’ if that will even happen at all. Until that happens, Queen Elizabeth is waiting patiently on her end.

“She can’t be seen to be going against official government advice, but it’s fair to say she’s looking forward to getting back to normal,” one source told the publication, adding, “It’s a delicate line but I think we will see her doing private audiences again and more of the work we are used to seeing her do in public at some point in the future. She is still receiving her red Government boxes and having her weekly audience with the PM. There is no suggestion of her stepping back, she is very much fulfilling her duties as head of state.”

Meanwhile, there have been additional reports that say many of the senior members of the royal family will be taking a back seat, seeing how they are more at risk in getting sick from the virus because of their age. With that said, it might be a very long time before Queen Elizabeth is seen in public again. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the situation.
