Meghan Markle never, ever wants to return to the UK or at least she doesn’t want to right now. While there was some speculation over whether or not Meghan would travel to the UK to accompany her husband Prince Harry for the unveiling of a Princess Diana statue at Kensington Gardens, a new report says that it’s not going to happen.
That’ because Meghan just gave birth to the couple’s second child, their daughter Lilibet, and is not ready to fly right now. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Is Refusing To Travel To The UK
While there’s no doubt that Prince Harry would sure enjoy the company of his wife while having to go face-to-face with his family members again, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Instead, the Duke of Sussex will have to face this royal reunion on his own.
One source even told the Daily Mirror, “Meghan is not going to travel. She has just had a baby and Harry will travel alone.”
ITV Royal Producer Lizzie Robinson also tweeted: “Meghan will not fly to the UK to join Harry for the unveiling of a statue of his late mother Princess Diana on July 1st, a source confirmed after a US website claimed she would be attending.”
It might be a good thing that Meghan is skipping out on this event, seeing how she might very well be the least likable person in the UK right now. This comes after both Harry and Meghan threw the entire royal family under the bus not once but several times in the last few months.
During their epic interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan suggested there was a royal racist behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace while Harry said that his father Prince Charles had cut him off both emotionally and financially. If that weren’t enough, he also accused his father of passing down what he calls “genetic pain and suffering” to his sons.
Buckingham Palace has so far not made any comments about who will be at the statue unveiling and who will be sitting this one out.
